Subject: Question: acoustic electric vs mics for guitar

A question about playing at gigs with acoustic guitar. I don't
particularly like the sound of acoustic electrics but it sure makes life
easier than playing with microphones. I tend to move a lot when playing
and it drives the sound crazy. Has any one tried the acoustic electric
amps, do they work well for finger picking, etc? I also play a
DobroLectric for slide, haven't found the right combination of amp or
PA. any suggestions?
